The Bushnell Tour V2 with Pinseeker Laser Rangefinder is the smallest and most sophisticated laser rangefinder available. Distances are given in both yards and meters when viewing through the 5x magnification viewfinder. You can also choose to use SCAN mode. Whilst you pan across the landscape, the LCD display continuously updates the distances to the targets which you can see.

How do these units work to give you such an accurate measurement?
Using an invisible Class 1 Laser Beam (as defined by the FDA) which is completely Eye-Safe, the Rangefinder fires out a beam of light which reflects back off the target. By means of its built-in high speed digital clock, the time spent for the light to travel there and back can be measured and the distance calculated from this. And all this in under a second!

"I bought my first Bushnell in 2000 and had the model previous to this one, which had no pinseeker mode. With the new model I can routinely measure to the flag from 350 yards, which makes it easy to calculate a layup yardage.
I have found GPS units just don't have the accuracy of lasers. They can be out by 7-8 yards.
Having played more than 80 rounds this year, as well as at the driving range, I have got through 4 batteries. These are expensive at the drug store but you can get them in bulk here on Amazon."
